Simple Overview:

The ENTiVA system has two components –a touchscreen tablet pc controller and an ENTiVA gateway box. The system also requires a TV screen – certain types of screen maximise your viewing quality– so please feel free to ask your supplier for information on these screens. The tablet pc controls the system by communicating with the ENTiVA gateway. It does this wirelessly – that means you can position the controller wherever you wish and move around with it. The ENTiVA gateway in turn communicates to the screen which displays your choice of function such as TV, internet or DVD. If you wish, you can display on the controller only, or use the controller as a PC whilst using the screen to do something else – all it takes is the touch of a button.

Using a wireless connection – either from a local wireless network or from the USB dongle – ENTiVA allows you to watch live TV, watch IP TV, surf the internet and use Video on Demand. For ENTiVA users, there is a unique ENTiVA email system – you can choose your address on registration – as well as online chat between users. There is also a VOIP function which allows you to call other ENTiVA users over the internet wherever you are! So, you can share your holiday experiences and tips with the ENTiVA community at the touch of a button.

Exclusive to ENTiVA users, media partners will be sending special offers and discounts directly to the screen so that when you switch on the system the user can see the special offers of the day – maybe money off entrance to a local park, or discount ferry travel – it’s up to you if you want to take advantage of these offers – if not then the touch of a button reverts the screen to normal view.

The PC can be used at home in the same way as a normal PC – in fact the entire system can be used at home. It is simple to add extra components to the ENTiVA system as the box covers all types of connectors from security cameras, iPod Docks, extra screens or surround sound.
